This one isn't a stellar title,...
Strengths: Graphics & voice acting
Weakness: Linear Gameplay and Control issues
This one isn't a stellar title, but it's not a total dog either. The graphics are sensational- and the story is well told. All the actors from the series are involved so their likenesses and voices are dead on. First complaint is that what are supposed to be stealth levels can be completed by merely fighting your way through them- which brings me to my next complaint. The characters movements are...

First complaint is that what are supposed to be stealth levels can be completed by merely fighting your way through them- which brings me to my next complaint. The characters movements are dead slow- so fighting is a laborious chore at best.
If you're a fan of the show or not- it's worth a look.

Strengths: Overall quality to this title
Weakness: Nothing new
Let me start off by saying I never watched the show Alias, nor do I know nothing about the charecters. Because of this, the story was too exciting for me. The gameplay was alright, but it is nothing that we have not seen and done in countless other titles. I recommend this game only to fans of the show since it has the original cast for the cutscenes and such.

Strengths: Voice work by the original actors, good mix of stealth and hand to hand combat
Weakness: Somewhat unresponsive controls

Alias is decent stealth and action game based upon the television show of the same name. In this game, you will sneak and fight your way through various levels of espionage. All the standard stealth moves are here. You can flatten yourself against walls, hang from ledges, and perform instant kills when you sneak behind your enemies. Sometimes it is difficult to get your character to perform these moves, though, as the controls are a little touchy. The enemy artificial intelligence is decent enough, but the game never gets too difficult. In most cases, if you are spotted, you will still be able to just beat up the guards and continue on your mission.
The fighting is based upon a two-button combo system that offers a good amount of variety, but is extremely easy to pick up. There are a lot of different weapons that you can pick up along the way and the animations when fighting are smooth and interesting. The only problem with the fighting system is that there is sometimes collision detection issues, so you'll often be confused as to why you aren't doing any damage. The response time also seems a little slow when fighting. Overall though, it's a good fighting system that allows you to perform combos, counter enemy attacks, and even disarm enemies.
There are also plenty of gadgets to help you along and most of these turn into a small mini-game when used. It's a pretty nice touch to keep the game interesting.
The graphics are decent, but not overall detailed. I really enjoyed the levels where you had to use thermal vision due to the darkness. This looks very nice and mixed up the graphical look of the game. You also have a night-vision type of mode that allows you to see where all the enemies are. Both of these definitely come in handy during the stealth portions.
The voice acting is excellent as it is done by all the actors from the show. The storyline is also written by the writers of the show, so it feels like an actual episode. Fans will be pleased to see all the main characters along with other favorites.
Overall, this isn't a top tier game, but fans of the show should check it out. It's a pretty good game for being based off a television show, but it could've used a little more polish before being released. It's enjoyable to play though and can be beaten in a couple of days.

Strengths: Look nice and has an interesting storyline
Weakness: Slow animation, standard game design
Acclaim's Alias contains an original storyline and places the shows title character in a collection of enjoyable, but average levels. It doesn't help that Sydney and her adversaries animated really slowly, making precision in the controls a no-no. It can be a fun game though, and I never even watched the tv series.
Alias is fun, largely because it shows potential, but it's never fully realized.

Strengths: Graphics are decent
This is a decent game. The graphics and camera angles aren't the best. They aren't done really well...we'll put it that way. But the graphics and storyline are awesome. This is actually a must have for any Alias fan.
