DDR Extreme review

Strengths: new songs and lots of songs and song type variety

Weakness: different types of songs might be strange to some, boring interface

I was kind of disappointed with DDR extreme. Almost all of the things I liked about DDR Max was gone in this title, which may or may not be a bad thing. The interface is really lame for a Playstation 2 title, the scrolling jukebox wheel of DDR Max seeming to work much better for seeing the song list as a whole, and the song list always seemed better with a lot of techno based, thumping mixes....

Fun for the whole family

Strengths: Great fun for the whole family, plenty of new songs, use of the new PS2 camera

Weakness: N/A

DDR Extreme is just the next in a series of fun games. First off, it's fun just trying to keep up with the steps and beating the levels. But on top of that, being able to compete against family members friends, and anyon else that stops by is a blast. Some of the songs are repeats from previous versions, but there are definately a few new ones as well. There are a few unlockables (new songs and...

DDR Extreme for the PS2

Strengths: + Yet another game in the very solid DDR series + Improves upon its predecessors with even better songs (like Duran Duran's "The Reflex")

Weakness: - While solid, the series does feel a little stale after a while due to so many games and their similarities - Most gamers won't be able to beat most songs on higher difficulty settings

This is yet another Dance Dance Revolution game for the PS2, and I must say... I couldn't be happier. This version is the best yet, with great songs like Duran Duran's "The Reflex" and the Village People's "YMCA". The new EyeToy modes add a great deal of much-needed variety (and hilarity) to this somewhat stale series. The songs are once again extremely difficult on the higher levels, so most...

This is the best DDR game of PS2...

Strengths: Great songs, graphics and eye toy feature.

Weakness: none

This is the best DDR game of PS2 in the market as of now. It has all the DDR features plus Eye Toy feature. In my point of view, song collection is the most important thing to determine whether or not a DDR game is good or not. If it has lots of great song, even the graphics are not good (what we really look at all the time are those devil arrows after all), it is still worth buying~! In this...

Taken just for its songlist, this...

Strengths: Lots of fun songs, decent enough Eye Toy features.

Weakness: Inability to turn off the corner buttons hurts it a lot.

Taken just for its songlist, this is a fine DDR mix. Again, the usual ~70 songs, with some fun licenses and Konami Originals. However, a terrible omission on Konami's part makes it the worst of the PS2 mixes. You see, when you play DDR, you only use the four arrows. However, the regular face buttons (square, X, triangle and circle) also activate the arrows, in case you're playing on a controller....
