Madden 08 is more of the same
Strengths: Licenced by the NFL
Weakness: Not all classic players are named on the team (like Joe Montana), Glitches, Ask madden not very accurate.
I enjoy Madden 08, but it could definitely use some work. Since it is the only NFL game in town (pun intended), gamers don't have a lot of choices. The game has glitches. The ask Madden feature will tell you to take a knee if you are down by 7 points and on the 50 yard line with 30 seconds remaining...Most players would try a hail mary rather than run out the clock. Great game for NFL fans
Strengths: Realistic graphics; Current NFL line-ups
Weakness: Price (as with any video game for any gaming system)
I bought this game for my son for Christmas. He has been wanting it for months. He is a Packer fan and was very excited that he had the full line-up to be able to play with. He is a gamer and absolutely loves this game! Great game for any NFL fan no matter what age! I also bought him the Prima strategy guide to help with game techniques.

Madden 08
Strengths: Continuation of the Madden Franchise, Same great gameplay (although it is smoother now), Updated Rosters.
Weakness: Some minor glitches in the game.
This is the same Madden game for the same Madden fans. Of course each year they add a couple of challenges and events in the game, but i'm not really the person who plays those things too much. Other than some minor glitches (which all games have), the gameplay is smooth and this game is the best simulation of a real football game. Still the best football game on the market.

Madden NFL 08 for PS2
Strengths: More realistic control of players
Weakness: No improvement in graphics.
Improved game play from years past. More realistic control over players, new animation for tackling and getting past defenders. Also more realistic passing and more dominant run game. Graphics remain the same as years prior. Best for ages 10 and up.

Best football game so far
Strengths: better gameplay - fewer glitches than 07
Weakness: soundtrack could use work, Madden's commentary
I no longer have nearly as many problems controlling the players as I did with the previous versions. The graphics are also better than before. The sound track is annoying (as is Madden himself) They have added a Fantasy challenge option that I haven't really done much with but I'm sure I will mess with it sometime in the future. All in all, a solid football game that beats out it's competition.
