Nostalgic for old 2d Sonic? Here's your answer

Strengths: Great value for this collection of solid Sonic games, extra features thrown in

Weakness: Graphics are dated

The 2D sonic games are still better than any 3D sonic game. The sense of speed as well as the physics still give Sonic a unique place in 2D platforming. The sheer size of the collection is also nothing to sneeze at. You can unlock some more games as you play, including non-sonic games thrown in as a bonus. One problem is that the graphics are VERY dated and you'll see this stick out on the Game...

A Bundle of Classics

Strengths: 13 Sonic Games, 5 Additional SEGA Classics, Added ability to save, Extras are a cool added bonus

Weakness: Sound issues with some games, Some extras seem out of place

While there isn't anything technically new in this collection, having never grown up with a SEGA Genesis there was plenty of fun to be had. The gameplay of the majority of the games is pretty much just old school fun. The massive amount of games is almost reason enough to own. There are a total of 7 Genesis and 6 Game Gear Sonic titles, 5 unlockable Genesis games, and the ability to play Sonic 2...

Cool Blue

Strengths: A hefty dose of Sonic

Weakness: Where's Sonic CD?!

Well, if you can somehow overlook the exclusion of the great Sonic CD, this is perhaps the ultimate Sonic collection. It's even better than the original Sonic collection that first appeared on the GameCube. The emulation of the Sonic games is a little spotty in places, but it will probably only bother the hardest of hardcore Sonic fans. Otherwise, this is an awesome collection of Sonic games,...

The original with enhanced PS2 graphics

Strengths: Classic Sega Sonic games in one. Multi player action, with lots of mini party games for group play.

Weakness: Short levels. Very kid oriented. Original graphics; nothing new.

Overall, if you ever played Sonic games you know what to expect. Same games different system. The best part is that they are all in one. If you loved them then, you'll love them now. It is a fun change to the modern gruesome/action games.
