The Little Mermaid game for the Nintendo DS is an enjoyable diversion. I bought this for my daughter who is six years old. She has enjoyed the game. She is able to navigate it herself without frustration. However, one of the tasks is challenging. The user needs to sing a few notes into the built-in microphone in order to unlock the treasure chest. These notes have to be a close match to the notes...

Nice game
Strengths: Nice graphics
Weakness: Singing the correct notes to unlock treasure chests can be difficult for young children.
As the other user stated and I would agree, singing the notes to unlock the treasure chest can be difficult for a young child. The game is enjoyable and I help my little friend by singing the notes for her. Hopefully she will be able to do it herself one day.

A Children's Game
Strengths: Good for children to learn simple puzzle solving skills.
Weakness: Not too much for anyone over the age of 6 to enjoy.
This game is another attempt to capatalize on the unbelievably successful Disney Corperation. It is not too well funded as far as I can see, yet it does come with some gameplay that would be nice for children. This is an obvious childrens game, and thus it should be expected in that fasion, and taken in that fasion.
