The NHL 2K series personally has been my favorite hockey games. I may not be the biggest hockey fan but I find the games to be very enjoyable. The new camera angle works very well, and the game plays very smooth and realistically. While the commentary is not is good as past versions, it is still solid. NHL 2K7 on Xbox 360

Strengths: Nice gameplay,animations & smooth controls

Weakness: Commentary is dull

This game features some really fluid movements. So much so that at times it appears as if you watching a real match. Combine them with some easy to handle controls & you have a good NHL game here. Commentators can really bore you with their rants, but background sounds are good. Skill challenges is a refreshing addition where you can hone your individual skills.
If you are into achievements, they are not as easy as earlier NHL games on Xbox 360 but still attainable without spending much time
Overall a nice game which may appear a little outdated compared to current offerings but still enjoyable when you play it

This is the best hockey video game to date. The players control very realistically when using the Advanced control scheme. You can do nearly every action in hockey: drop pass, fake slap-shot to pass, cycling the puck with icon passing, decide slap shot or wrist shot, catch the puck, and the list keeps going. This is the best hockey video game to date. The players control very realistically when using the Advanced control scheme. You can do nearly every action in hockey: drop pass, fake slap-shot to pass, cycling the puck with icon passing, decide slap shot or wrist shot, catch the puck, and the list keeps going. If you haven't played 2K hockey before, there is a learning curve, but it is definitely worth the effort. The players look and move very realistic; even having sweat build up and drop to the ice. The new camera is perfect for playing hockey both for control and for enjoying the graphics. Games play out very realistically and season and franchise modes even have rival games. I'll be playing this until the next 2K hockey title.

Good Game

Strengths: gameplay, online tournaments, mini games

Weakness: ok dynasty mode

This game has great gameplay, very realiting looking. It even shows scratches on the ice. Great variety of mini games so even when the NHL season is over, keep yourself entertained by these mini games.
