Description:

Prey tells the story of Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic stuck on a reservation going nowhere. His life changes when an otherworldly crisis forces him to awaken spiritual powers from his long-forgotten birthright. Abducted along with his people to a menacing mothership orbiting Earth, he sets out to save himself and his girlfriend and eventually his planet. Prey is serious, dark story, based on authentic Cherokee mythology. Themes of sacrifice, love and responsibility are explored and the story dives into emotional territory not yet explored by similar games.

A great solid 360 title

Strengths: +new innovative gameplay +BEAUTIFUL!

Weakness: -misses the mark for what it tries

This is a BEAUTIFUL game. There is no doubt about it. It's got all new gameplay elements (portals anyone?) The only problem is that it doesn't quite hit the mark it's going for. It's stale sometimes...the alien innards look dull after a while and so on. While it's fun, it can get boring.

Prey (Xbox 360)

Strengths: It's a pretty different FPS. Some pretty easy achievement points for gamers that like playing for that purpose.

Weakness: Storyline could've been better. Dying and reviving at a checkpoint became a not so fun aspect of the game.

I rented the game first and decided I liked it enough to buy it. Now the reason why I bought it is because you can easily lose concentration on this game because some things are repetitive but you'll feel up for it later. It isn't a game for the kiddos because there is some cursing and I had no problem with that because I have no children but just a warning for parents.

Prey (360)

Strengths: Everything, Collector's Edition

Weakness: Multi-player gets a little bland

One of the surprise hits for the 360. This game has the whole package, from great graphics, innovative game play, and engrossing storyline. This is a game that should be in every 360 owner's library.

Prey

Strengths: Good storyline and graphics, interesting mechanic of how to move through the environment

Weakness: Multiplayer is very stale

Your enjoyment of this game will come down to one thing, how much do you enjoy a good, story driven first-person shooter. The graphics are very good, and the gameplay is fun (although it is pretty straight-forward). There isn't as much thinking as you would think with the mechanic of moving through the levels, but at the same time, it has wonderful pick-up and play appeal. Recommended.
